Lea Sibbel graduated from the Westfälische Wilhelms-University of Münster in 2010 with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Science. Always fascinated with journalism, she started writing for the Westfalian News, a region-wide German newspaper, at the age of 16 – and is still doing so today. she also freelances for the German Press Agency dpa and several online magazines. An internship at the national public broadcasting station ZDF introduced her to the world of TV journalism – after she had already gotten to know another kind of broadcast journalism at her University’s own radio station. Next year, she will complete her international Master’s degree in “Media, Journalism and Globalisation”, specialising in “War and Conflict”.
